Introducing Billiken!

Say Hi to our blog mascot Billiken!! Here we’re visiting Osaka Castle in Osaka, Japan!

I first heard of Billiken when we were visiting Osaka, Japan. Our dear friend Natsuco was showing us around. Before we went to eat Ichiban, she brought us to the statue of Billiken, the “god-of-things-as-they-ought-to-be”. I was intrigued by this almost Menehune like thing. I thought it was so cute. Before we left Japan, she gave me several gifts of Billiken and one was this stuffed doll. She said, she may never get to travel to the places that we do but maybe Billiken can travel with us in place of her. Ever since then Billiken has become my travel buddy, showing up in pictures all over Japan then, all over the world and every time he does, I make sure to tag Natsuco in the picture so she can see where Billiken has been.

So follow The Billiken Blogs as he travels the world.
